Ride While We Paint
Cutting Edge Illusions offers an exciting option for our customers who don't want to go without their ride at all. We can provide tins for many Harley Davidson years and models for paint. You can either purchase this set (if you want to keep your original tins) or trade us your set in exchange when your paintwork is completed. We know that parting with your bike can be really tough! This option allows you to "Ride While We Paint!"
How It Works
You provide us with your year, make, model, and part number(s) if possible. We will order new parts from our Harley-Davidson dealer or look for a set of used parts in good condition for you if desired. We charge for the price of the new parts upfront with your deposit. If you choose to trade in your old set it must be free from dents or major damage (chips, scratches, and peeling are fine). We refund the cost you paid for the parts less a $250 core exchange and restocking fee. If your set does happen to have dents or other damage we will ask for a compensation fee or return the part/s to you and not credit you for this item.
*Regardless of make or model, if you are looking to purchase an additional set of tins and keep your original set, we can get these from our local dealers or help you acquire a used set of tins.
Reserving Your Time Frame
We operate on a first come, first served basis. A refundable down payment of $500 is your reservation. Your place in line is determined by the TIME and DATE your parts are received. Your down payment is applied to your quoted balance for your project with your remaining balance due upon completion.
Getting Started
At any given time we are working with multiple customers who are considering us for hire. We strongly recommend placing your order as soon as possible so that your place in line is established. Late winter and spring are by far our busiest times of year (and also when customers are in the biggest rush to get parts back on those warm spring days). We strongly recommend that you don’t save your project until this time of year if you are on a tight timeline. We often have multiple sets arrive on the same day in the months of March and April, and are committed to give each job the time and attention it deserves without rushing a job to get through our backlog.
Job Completion
As many of you know, we update your gallery frequently while your set is in our shop. You are able to see all the stages take place and make changes as we work. We want your input and feedback as your parts travel through our process. After your set is finished we will take a series of final pictures for you. At this stage, we will send you a final invoice for payment.
We take many pictures along the way so the only surprise you will get upon opening your parts is how marvelous they look in person. The difference between pictures and seeing your paint in real life is beyond comparison.
